Sit, Stand, Learn!
Anni’s Activity Center

The patented and award winning pediatric physical therapy device to sit, stand, learn and get feet on the floor!

Anni’s Activity Chair brings years of professional early-intervention physical therapy into a research-backed active sitting and standing device. Babies learn to sit on the floor first, reaching In all directions. Anni’s chair is designed to support babies in activating their core, sitting up independently, and standing. I’ve used his product successfully in my practice for over 3 years and have shared it with other therapists and families to support their child’s development. It is now available to support your little ones at home.

Great for Developing

  • Active sitting & standing

  • Foot grounding on floor

  • Core stability for fine motor development

  • Upper & lower extremity weight bearing

  • Trunk control

Age Range

Our seat is designed for approximately 6 month - 30 month olds and measured for an optimal fit for this age group. Nothing on the market allows for a baby to sit with 90/90/90 joint positions of hips, knees and ankles and feet on floor!

What makes Anni’s Activity Chair different from the rest?

  1. Our unique foot and thigh contact together promotes erect posture and stronger trunk muscles.

  2. Superior to other floor-sitters due to raised bench sitting posture for 90º joint angles.

  3. Our unique design allows for feet under bum for learning sit-to-stand.

Having FUN at work!

Can use for sitting or standing. Has a removable trunk support!

  • Anni’s chair is designed to practice active upright sitting with the most optimal alignment and sensory input as possible, which is recommended for all babies and toddlers.

  • Anni’s chair has been used with a large variety of diagnoses with success to teach sitting. These diagnoses include but are not limited to: prematurity, down’s syndrome, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, etc. Anni’s chair will help a healthy baby with no diagnosis to sit well and use their muscles in a safe manner.*

  • Intervention is required to make little ones engage their trunk muscles in order to develop sitting balance. The pelvis is the foundation for sitting. A neutral pelvis will help a baby to activate their abdominals and back extensors.  Anni’s chair was designed to promote contact of the buttocks, thighs, and feet with a support surface in order to activate these necessary pelvic sitting muscles.

  • The seat depth and contour as well as sensory foot options all allow for the input needed to encourage active sitting muscles. Anni’s Chair gives vestibular input by being able to move in a linear direction during sitting or standing. Anni’s chair also provides ground floor reaction surfaces for the legs, upper extremity weight bearing surfaces (during sitting or standing with tray or T bar), visual tracking surface, and a lightweight 360 degree trunk support which still encourages active use of the trunk muscles.

  •  Anni’s Chair offers full support to sit for kids who need that support, but can also be a gateway to independent sitting for children with other delays, or children who are not delayed but simply need the workout and a little extra encouragement. Trunk padding can easily be added or removed as your child gets some independent sitting ability.

  • Anni’s chair has a sensory footplate component. You can help your child feel the floor with a variety of fun textures in a tray that slides in and out. Easily removable. Easily cleaned. Easily filled with your favorite texture. Warm water, cold water, sand, water beads, bumpy massage surfaces, grass pads etc.

Research

Anni’s Activity Chair is being research proven in both ongoing studies and completed case studies. While the larger study published results in June of 2023 at a pediatric conference, numerous individual case studies have been done. The single case study was presented virtually at a conference during COVID. Both studies were completed with the necessary standardized testing and measurements. It helped that particular child to walk at 16 months by following a certain protocol once independent sitting was achieved. The chair can be used to promote sitting and standing and walking. (pre-gait activity) We are currently recruiting PTs to complete more research to address gaining sitting balance and standing ability.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE CHAIR UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL AND HEAR MORE ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH PROTOCOL PLEASE EMAIL ME. I CAN SHARE A 25 MIN VIDEO PRESENTED AT CONFERENCE. pedipt2018@gmail.com

*Anni’s chair is to always be used with an adult or therapist that knows the child and can assist the child.
